August Monthly Medal & Memorial Cup 1st Round - Blot on the Landscape
A pleasant day with little wind (but that’s enough about my life) and it was a Medal on the Woodside. 35 Seniors set off with high hopes and there were some reasonable scores overall with the top 4 all shooting a net 71. However the computer separated these out and the winners’ enclosure consisted of, 4th Nigel Smith, 3rd Ian Nisbet, 2nd Colin Thornton and our winner was Me also 71.
The full list of runners and riders are here and the Eclectic here.
Sadly 4 players were held up on the course because of an error in the tee times and they did not complete their round. This issue is being taken forward with the Hotel by our Captain to ensure no repetition in future.

August Monthly Stableford - Blake’s 44 takes no chances.
The Monthly Stableford this month doubled up with the Tom Lambert Trophy and motivated 39 Seniors to “have a go” at The Woodside. It has to be said that Bob Blake may have difficulty some times finding the right course (particularly when Boston West are involved) but when he does it’s with a vengeance.
